Marissa Area District Public Library 

Board Meeting Minutes 

Monday, February 9, 2026 

The meeting was called to order by President Carol Mercer @ 
6:00. 

Members present were Diane, Robin, Tiff, David, Linda, Leslie, 
and Carol. Not present was Doug. 

Announcements: There were no announcements. 

Recognition of public and comments: Warren Trotter was 

present to observe the meeting. 

Reading and approval of the January minutes as written. David 
made a motion to approve the minutes, it was seconded by 

Diane, motion carried. 

Correspondence: A letter from Nevaeh was passed around. A 
letter about Public Service was passed around. A letter 
releasing Brook from her Library duties was read. 

Treasurer's Report: The report was presented by Linda. She 
and Carol still need to go to the bank to take care of some 
Library business. 

Acceptance of the Treasurer's Report and authorization to 
pay upcoming bills: David made the motion, it was seconded by 
Tiff, motion carried.

Librarian's Report: There will be another Resource Fair this 
summer. The tax preparation has full registration, which will 
begin this month. There will be an Adult Storytime by Carol 
on Thursday, February 26, 2026 @ 6:00. 

Old Business: Policy Manual - Some members have read it; 
some still need to do so. 

New Business/ General Discussion: Carol said that the Book 
Clubs appreciate using the Library. 

Adjournment: Carol adjourned the meeting @ 6:22.
